I don't have any new pictures today to put on the blog, but everyone else rambles and today is my day.
Yesterday was transfers and the elders who have been with us this whole time are now gone and it was like leaving home all over again. We have grown accustomed to those young men, but it was time to move on. Elder Riley is now in Kane, Elder Mitchell is now a senior companion (hooray for him) Elder Kotchel went home to Canada, Elder Johnson went home , Elder Segura went to Pittsburgh as a senior companion and came back as a district leader and is now our neighbor (he brought back Elder Gamez from El Paso, Texas) Lets see, that leaves Elder Merrill and he got a new companion Elder Price and Elder Mendoza has Elder Mayberry (like Andy Griffin Mayberry) It will be interesting to see how they all get along and how they work together!!
We have been trying new dishes, too, Julia. We learned how to make Mexican rice and it tastes a lot like Michelle's red beans and rice, so we will be making it pretty often. Fortunately we can cook and we do, and we bake and bake and bake. The missionaries here are a little spoiled, I think, but then hey, who else do we have to spoil!!
I continue to make hats in my spare time and have finished a baby blanket for little Sammy and I am anxious to have Julia see it.
The weather fakes us out. We look out and see the sun and think, a nice warm day. Then we go out to find 34 degrees and a wind blowing to make it about25 degrees. Oh well, no more snow for at least a week, so we are happy about that. But they tell us that there is still a chance of snow
We went to Kirtland last Wednesday and saw the statues display. She loved it!!
This weekend we are off to Morgantown, W.V. for a Young Single Adult activity. There will be a general authority there to speak to the kids on Sunday morning so we are excited.
We are keeping busy with ward functions, visiting inactives and less actives and doing whatever they ask of us, plus our institutes classes. The time is going way too fast and we feel like we are on a fast train!!!!
Am glad you all had a good spring break--the pics are great--I can't believe how the kids are maturing!!! SEND PICTURES so I can update!!

This page is totally wonderful with pictures of all our district. Those in the picture below are Elder Mitchell, Elder Riley, Elder Kotchel, Elder De Young, Elder Johnson and Elder Merrill in the back row. Elder Mendoza and Elder Segura in front. Mitchell, Riley, Johnson, Kotchell and Segura will be transferred tomorrow. We are really sad . . .. We hope our new elders will be every bit as nice!! Anyhow, enjoy the pictures.

The above pic was taken on the isle on pday

This is the missionaries that lived next door to us in the next building. We will miss them

Atomic wings survivor

Well we made a trip to Quaker Steak and Lube with Elder Riley and Elder Mitchell. We had told them before they left we would and so last night was about our only chance. This is Elder Riley holding a bumper sticker claiming he ate the Atomic wings. They only give you four at a time and he was barely able to eat two of them. I thought we were going to lose him!! (Dad declined the offer for any!!)
  • Yea, they look happy here, but you should have seen the about 10 minutes earlier!

Elder M had one of Elder R's so he could be about as miserable You notice he is tearing it apart before he puts it in his mouth so as to not bearn his lips and mouth.
Does he look a little green yet??

You can actually see how red his face was and tears coming from his eyes
Here, he had just taken a bite and the heat hadn't hit him yet

Here you can really tell he was miserable!!
Elder M was making a video of it. Oooooooo

Well, that was their moment!!!! And I doubat it would happen again--but it really was good!! That was their comment

Fun times

Sometimes we have just a little too much fun with the missionaries Below is Elder Segura and newly activated Matt Knupp in the foyer of the ward building
I guess this is Elder Segura's Elvis stance
And here I am with Segura, his companion Elder Mendoza is joking in the background
