This is our very newest elder who came to us via Jamestown, New York and exchanged places with Elder Page. This is Elder Byland who just got here on tuesday of this week
While we were at transfers, we saw this elder, who is going home, who was here in Erie when we first got here in Sept of 2008. His name is Ammon Johnson, and he is probably home in Utah by now enjoying family and friends. We will miss him, but he was a good missionary.We had 15 new elders join us in the mission and almost all of them were from Utah!!

This was our last district. In back is Elder Casper Elder Page and Elder Lee

Then Elder Lindblom, Sis Lindblom and Elder Morales. The two in the back are 6'5" tall and we really do look up to them Elder Casper is training Elder Lee

Now on to the snow show. This is what it looked like yesterday, and there has been more coming down all morning.This is where the car was parked on Friday morning

Just a little luvvin' from us'ns in Erie, Pa

Last evening, we, and the elders, were invited to sister Hinklers house for supper. As ususal, she had a luscious, bounteous spread and we were filled to capacity. She had remembered that my birthday was coming and so she made (you guessed it!!) strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was wonderful. Well, just before we left, she presented me with this basket, which was inside the red plastic bag and is filled with oranges, pears, apples, grapes, strawberries and bananas. and of course, this nice card was enclosed. It says on the front "You're a very special kind of friend Inside: Our friendship has been special right from the start, Just like these birthday wishes that are warm and from the heart! Happy Birthday Happiness Always" and this note-Sure am glad I have had the privilege to know you. I'll miss you when you leave, I wish Heavenly Fathers richest blessings for you, Love and Prayers, Helen

These are our Valentines from the grandkids!! We loved them!! And we had contests with the Elders on who could hold the fire balls in their mouth the longest--I won!!

Some fun photos in Feb

While we were driving to church this morning for our weekly district meeting, I shot these photos. I just love to look at the fresh snow on the trees. This was the reason we did not go out yesterday--SNOW!! this was food demonstration day and we took up the makin's for lasagna. We had them put it all together, plus put the garlic butter on the bread. We also had salad. We feed our elders well!! Anyhow, it is always fun watching them put the stuff together. We had our district meeting while the food cooked and then we ate in the kitchen as the Relief Society was preparing the cultural hall for the meeting tonight. I will go there as Dad teaches my lesson that I gave on tuesday. We try to work our lessons to these events, but it looks like this one fell on my lesson day.


We made brownies for the missionaries the other day and they had confectioners sugar on the top. This is Elder Page with a white beard and mustache. He really looks different with this

And I love to look through a frosty window. With the scene of windshield wiper streaks It really looks interesting Oh yes 23 degrees we are waiting for the car to heat up
