Our last transfer

Well, the mission got another elder from Mesa. Elder Killpack. His seminary teacher was Sean Peterson. How about that. He also knows Elder Cluff. Another Co inki dink!!

Elder and Sister Summerhays usually take the departing missionaries to Olive Garden and so here we all are We got chicken parmesan and some steak dish On the right is Brother Johnson who works in the office Behind him is Elder Page, who served with us here in Erie

The sister in the bright pink is sister Dewey who served with us here in Erie, and she is from Arizona, too!! And the red haired missionary on the left if Elder Wesley and he is also from Mesa.

More Erie pics

Last Sunday the Dinickles told us that they had a surprise for Elder L. and me and wanted us to come by their house to see them. When we got there on Tuesday afternoon, they had prepared ham and cheese and turkey and cheese sandwiches for us and this lovely cake. The cake has ribbons on the upper left and lower right and the middle there is written "Safe journey Lindbloms" It was so sweet of them to do this for us and they were soooo proud. Here is Elder L. with Kathy and Paul and "the cake".

Then I had to have mypic taken, too. (I look like a chipmunk!!)

And, I finished another lap afghan . You can't see the colors too well, but it is two shades of green and three shades of lavender. It is very pretty.

Our last zone conference

Okey, so this Thursday was our very last zone conference and we were asked to sing in a quartet with these two fine seniors--Elder and Sister Moon. This is their second mission and they are stationed in DuBois area. They finish in Feb 2011 so we might see them on their way home. The song went well and as the meeting ended, all those going home were to bear their testimonies and so Elder L. and I got to do so. It was very hard to realize that we are almost finished. One elder described it right, It is like a roll of toilet , when it gets to the end, it goes very very fast.

Lake Erie

Okey, So yesterday was our P-Day and we rarely have time to have an off day, but thought with this close to the time we leave here we had better see a little bit of Erie so we can show the kids and know what we are looking at. So we went to the library and there is a museum of Lake Erie there and a little area that is free, but is explanatory enough for us at present time. So I had Dad take a picture of me in front of the mural of the "Niagra" ship. It was already too late to see it on Monday so, this morning we went down to see it off. That was to happen at 10:00 so we went out by the channel to see it off. Well, we waited and waited and decided to call and find out what the heck was going on. So, they say it will be after lunch. So we changed our location and watched the preparations for take off, but we did not have the time to wait. So that was a big disappointment, but oh well, we will live!!

This is the lighthouse out by the channel. It was really neat because it is out by the coast guard station and they still use it.

Across the lake seeing Erie, the city

This little boy caught this fish a sheephead and he was with his grandfather who was catching nothing while this little boy just kept reeling them in. Then, he would run the fish to the car so his grandmother could take pictures. It was really funny. He was so excited!!

Okey, so yesterday while we were driving, we saw this turtle along the road and Kristin and I just had to get a picture of it.

And then today whe we were driving this little guy was right in front of us and we would have hit it if we had not stopped. So, we pulled over to the side of the road and I caught this pic.

Out on the channel again!!

We watched as this blue heron flew over and finally landed and just stood there. I gues he was looking for a hand out, but we sort of scared him off. He was big and beautiful

more mission pictures

On Monday this week for p-day, we met the elders and went with them to Presque Isle for the afternoon. It gave us a little time to spend with them and to investigate some of the things we want the kids to see when they come to Erie. This is the breakers a little way from the beach and of course this is lake Erie. It was windy and it was intriquing to watch the sand move like little bugs along the beach. There were actually people laying on towels, in their bathing suits, catching some rays, just the things our elders needed to see, right?

Now this was at the Torerro's Mexican restaurant where we took the elders for lunch on our District meeting day. Elder V. said it tasted authentic to him. . . ..he cleaned his plate

Through My eyes!

I guess i am like Katie at taking pictures. I love to take pictures of nature and these Mt. Laurel bushes were in the parking lot at the Franklin Chapel where we went last week for our District meeting. The bees were swarming around them to get all the sweetness!!


Now, this was a picture of the house in Meadville that Dad would like to have. It is a beautiful Victorian house with all the trimmings!!

More of Mother Natures beautiful flower!!

When we go down this one street, there is a pond on the owners property and we see these Canadian Geese everywhere. They just slowly cross the road in front of you and now is the season with all the little ones following behind. Though they are very beautiful, they are mean and dirty. So don't try to go up and pet one, thought they seem very tame!

No this is not snow on the ground. One of the trees have these little seed pods that blow through the air and it really looks like snow in summer. This stuff is what makes us all sneeze !!

Okey, so Sister Fuller has been busy again making these little crafts!!

And she changed her bathroom all again. this is nice!!
And then there is my 15th lap afghan blue tan and green.
