Okey, I started with the last pictures first so you can see that this morning (Saturday) we were at Abby's in Punxsutawney, and Chris and Cindy came into town to be able to visit with us for a little while before Phil and I made our way back up to Erie. Here is Cindy getting a big smooch
We sure had a good week there in Big Run area and got to go to lots of things to enjoy this Christmas holiday!!

All good for us as we had this last chance to visit with them, too. You probably can' t see, but the cards and pictures are on her garage door and of course there are some of our kids there!!

Everyone told Chris that he was to give me lots of hugs, so he obliged. He is such a cutie. We sure enjoyed visiting with them.

I guess that Bryan and Lori were the first ones to leave the little reunion.

Now on to the place I spent a lot of time, in front of the bird feeders, watching the cardinals, bluejays and other birds. Love watching them!!

A couple of mornings there was also a pheasant hen that visited the feeders and I finally got to see her, though she blended right into the background!!

This was Beth's tree. Isn't it pretty?? This is their last Christmas in this house. Next year they will have a bigger, roomier, house!! Beth invited here for Christmas dinner

Okey, can you see the deer tracks in Joe's back yard?? We looked every night to see if they would come out while we were awake, but we did not see the buck and two does that made all of these tracks. Don't you just love looking out Joe's back window??

See the snow on the ground, and on the little bird house. This is the one that the blue jays came to eat. Those little buggers would fly up there, look up at me and almost dare me to try to catch them in a picture.

And these are the famous cinnamon rolls that comes from my mom's recipe. We also made Joe and Rose a loaf of bread. They were DEEEE LIcious!!

Okey, Michelle, here are the famous Christmas mice that sister Fuller makes You take a cherry with the stem on it (that is the tail. Nose is a white chocolate mini kiss and the ears are mini m&ms Cute, huh?? Hope you like them

We have oranges

Coy and Kathy sent us a box of oranges from the orange patch and we are sharing our bounty!! As you can see, we have managed to eat a few and we have given the missionaries a few. We only let them have one at a time so we have an excuse for them to come over to visit us!! So, Thanks to Coy and Kathy!!! We love you and the citrus!! We gave some out for the treat at institute and they LOVED having oranges from Arizona!!!

YES, winter has arrived!! Cold, cold, cold!!Dad donned his hat (this one He made for himself), scarf and heavy coat for going out this evening to our institute meeting. The temperature was 14 degrees above zero with winds blowing and actual temperature about zero.
These next two pictures are what is going on outside. Winds blowing the snow that has fallen, into drifts and on the roads, making a MESS. We are thinking we should get some more weights to put in the back so we won't slide all around

And yes, the car blows back and forth---I now keep a blanket (one Michelle sent us for Christmas last year) in the car to cover my legs on these cold trips in the car. Thanks for that blanket. I cannot believe I did not think of it earlier!!!

And we wanted to introduce to you Elder Banks of Sedona, Arizona. He is the son of Tammie's friend who graduated with her at Flagstaff. He is also serving here in the Cranberry Zone in Pennsylvania and just arrived last week.

Sunday "nativity display at church"

Last night was the first of a More to come tradition of displaying nativity scenes at the church on a yearly basis. There were quite a few who came by to see what we had--over 200 displayed--from tiny ones to good sized ones This is Sister Morrill and Sister Reynolds who visited while they had refreshments. The cultural hall was decorated beautifully and created a very calm, quiet atmosphere. We let them use our Mormon Tab cd for atmosphere music. It was just a lovely evening.


This is one of the ones I took. Missionaries left it behind so I had 3 I displayed. They all added up There was one which was the complete set of the "Precious Moments" and it was lovely

Nancie, the lady in the wheelchair is from Hungary, who came here just after wwII I think you might like to talk to her.
