On Monday this week for p-day, we met the elders and went with them to Presque Isle for the afternoon. It gave us a little time to spend with them and to investigate some of the things we want the kids to see when they come to Erie. This is the breakers a little way from the beach and of course this is lake Erie. It was windy and it was intriquing to watch the sand move like little bugs along the beach. There were actually people laying on towels, in their bathing suits, catching some rays, just the things our elders needed to see, right?

This is elder Davis getting some pictures

This is our district leader Elder Vidrios, and Elder Burnett, our Zone leader. It seems funny to see them in "civies", and they thought it even wierder to see Elder L and I.

Here's the crew taking pictures from atop the little grassy hill

We were watching as the sand moved along the beach into this little area. You can see the little waves they make as they move along The feet are Elder L

this is the little dive along the isle "Sarah's" and it was an all right place to eat, but . . . .
the atmosphere was neat!!

This was my "foot long" hotdog A little disappointing. I guess they just looked bigger when I was a kid, huh?? But the hot fudge milkshake was yummy

And the counters were put on top of these cars, kind of neat!!

the other counter

And Dad's favorite thing!! We will HAVE to go there for these!! One of a kind!!

He hadn't had one of these for years!1 orange sherbert and ice cream swirl!!

onion ring, nice and greasy, the way we like them--Elder Burnett eating his hamburger

Now this was at the Torerro's Mexican restaurant where we took the elders for lunch on our District meeting day. Elder V. said it tasted authentic to him. . . ..he cleaned his plate
