Since I can't figure out how to write at the top of the page, I will tell you about these pictues On Wednesday, Oct 14, The senior couple from Punxsy, were to go to Franklin to inspect the missionary apartments. While they were this close, and they knew us here, they came up to see what Erie looked like. So, about 1 oclock we met them at their hotel and took them to the peninsula so they could see Lake Erie--since we had not seen it either. Well, anyhow, there is an "up" road or one way on the right side of the peninsula and you just drive all around the peninsula and out the other side. We stopped a couple of places, especially at the beaches to see what they were all about. That day the water was not very cold, as would be expected this time of year. There werea couple of women and a man who were wading out into the lake, but I thought that was dangerous since they did not know just how far out you can go till there is a dropoff. Anyhow, we enjoyed the time spent there and then we went out to eat at the Golden Corral and enjoyed the good food. Then we dropped them off at their hotel. The next morning was the mission conference and we saw them there, also. That is where Elder Spencer Condie of the 70' s spoke, as did our mission president, President Summerhays.

These pictures are of the beaches of the lake. Look in the distance and you can see no land. I think somewhere out there is Canada.

This is at the side of the light house. As you can see, someone lives in it now and we could not get on the property
